From Shaw Dogs:
Shaw Dog Park is celebrating their first anniversary party on Saturday, November 7,from 12pm – 2pm. This festival will have agility demonstrations, raffle prizes, doggie and human treats, and the like—and it’s all free (but of course, donations are always welcome).
Shaw Dog Park is a fenced-in public park of 15,000 square feet where dog owners can bring their dogs and allow them to play and socialize off-leash. It opened November 5, 2008, and is the first legally sanctioned park in the District of Columbia. The park provides a safe space to raise healthy, well-tempered dogs in an urban environment, and it provides an opportunity to bring together members of the community
We’ll also be selling new long-sleeve t-shirts with our park logo. Councilmember Jack Evans and other public officials will be on hand to celebrate with us.
Prizes from local vendors this year… and gift cards form Eat Well DC restaurants, Garden District, Kimpton Hotels, Ruff is Ready Dog Grooming, Urban Essentials, Flowers on 14th, Cafe Saint-Ex, ACKC Cocoa Bar, Miss Pixie’s and Sun Cleaners.
Raffle tickets are available now. Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20.
